Course Objective:
This course teaches the essential skills required by an AED operator and provides candidates with the confidence to know what to do in a cardiac arrest emergency

- Approach an incident with consideration to personal safety
- Perform CPR & have recognition of heart rhythms
- Practically use of an AED machine and know how to hand-over to the emergency services
Target Audience:
This course is aimed at the general public, members of commerce and industry wishing to perform basic life support and how to operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) machine
Pre-requisites:
Candidates must hold a valid first aid qualification and must be physically able to carry out the detailed procedures (see course content)
Course Accreditation:
AED certificate valid for 1 year
