The South Wales Firefighters have been crowned as the WORLDS BEST at a world-wide competition!

The Bridgend Rescue team won the Rescue Organisation challenge both in national competition and at a world-wide event

The team travelled to Cape Town in South Africa where they won the title and brought it home to Wales for the third successive year and for the sixth time overall

The team leader, Andrew Morgan said

“It is an absolute honour to compete alongside so many great teams across the world, and we are thrielled to be able to bring the title back home again to South Wales Fire and Rescue Service.

It is always a great learning opportunity for us and a chance for firefighting colleagues across the world to share their rescue techniques and skills.

I am proud to be part of a very special group of people.”

It’s not really a shock that our South Wales Fire and Rescue are recognised as world’s best
This is why all our trainers have emergency service experience. Our excellent team are able to train and offer their real life experiences!
