Asthma is a medical condition that affects the airways – the tubes that carry air in and out of the lungs. When someone has an asthma attack, these tubes become narrowed, making it difficult to breathe in and out.

  • Difficulty in breathing
  • Wheezing

Asthma Treatment

  • Keep calm and reassurance the casualty
  • Let casualty adopt the position they feel most comfortable
  • Use reliever inhaler (Using an inhaler relaxes the muscles, allowing the airways to expand and ease their breathing)

  • If attack lasts longer than 10 minutes, it is the first attack, inhaler has no effect… DIAL 999

DO NOT make casualty lie down

DO NOT use preventer inhaler
